It’s not hard to list 19 countries where Kremlin has thrown its weight around during the course of the last and this century, to put it very euphemistically.

Of course, this notion depends on whether you equate the SU and the RF. They themselves do. Other members of the happy family tend to agree.

Junnila?

hehe

I guess it doesn’t have the same ring in Finnish, as it does in Estonian.

junn is a turd.

sure, they are. but Durov arguing this just sounds like him protecting his relation with the Kremlin.

different scales of bad we’re talking about here.

on the one hand we have the government developing a program to check students works for their views and on the other hand we have what? the “collective west” in its many facets. who are we talking about? sounds like classic whataboutism tbh.

And what would you prefer, that we would have no positive examples of integration? Your framing of him as a positive example for Kremlin is strange. Do you have any examples? I’m having a hard time making sense of this reasoning. He’s a “liberast” in Muscovian parlance.

tbh your thinking sounds a bit conspiratorial ITT. Sure, Oleg is a pragmatic moneyman with continued links with Muscovy, but imo it really is a stretch, a big stretch, to try to see Jevgeni as a Kremlin plant. He’s a nepokid, but so far also a strong voice of reason in the local political discourse.

The EU’s pretty much at war with Russia. Russia is certainly at war with the EU. Given the position, it’s not really surprising that the “big boys” don’t really bother with her. They prefer the politics of division and bilateralism.

But of course, we all love drama.

Kaplinskil oli isegi artikkel Tornimäe kohta. “Meie aja katedraalid” vms.

Viilmaa klanni arendatud ka Rävala torn, mille all kummituslik auk puiestee läbimurdele, mida kunagi ei tulnud ega tule. Magus ehitusõigus oli käes, las see auk siis olla.
