It's just the exuberance / naivety of youth versus the caution / clarity of age. Humans are and always will be fallible. I believe achieving societal utopia is a generational endeavor and one we should not give up on. But one in which we must be happy with whatever contribution we can make.

Those are just digital ways of changing the channel, watching the shows you choose, and throwing away the junk mail you receive. When you turn the filters and blocks into a daily habit, your feeds will conform closer to what you want to see.

Second is technology management. That is something you do have control over. Post as you choose, use the filters and blocks offered on the different social platforms to filter the feeds you get and block the people who are asses.

Also there is little you can do about most of it. But you are not completely powerless. Continue to think globally but act locally. Take pride in the small things you're doing day to day. I know you, and you have a good heart and do right by your community.

Becky, I hear you. My personal opinion is that there are several factors that are creating your experience and feelings on social platform interactions. One is general fatigue over what is happening in the country right now, and that fatigue is valid.
