Reading some code with a variable tracking “cumulative reward” and the programmer shortened the variable name in a way that made it seem like a very different program 😀

Thirty years ago today, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, I became a Canadian citizen. Minor celebrities present included children’s entertainer Marie Soleil, politician Mac Harb (sp?), and I forget the others. How time flies.

I continue being one of the dullest humans on the planet. Nothing useful to say. Had fun with Disgaea 7 but the item reincarnation system fell a bit flat. Replaying Dragon's Dogma now, but the lack of fast travel is making it a bit of a slog.

Watching the Friday the 13th series for the first time and still waiting for the lightbulb moment where I see why they were so popular. Up to number 3 now and just, meh. They're not bad, as the genre goes, but they must have done something for the time I'm just not getting.

What to say? Disgaea 7 in two weeks. The comfort of September fades into the winter-is-coming dread of October. The world turns.
