Long story short: If it were me, which it obviously isn't, I would shell out some $ for a short-term solution while they figure it out internally.

But I have something coming out tomorrow that dug into the hole that Arenado leaving creates at third and how there's nothing in the system that can fill it. I understand the team has nothing but time to get back into contention, but I also don't trust a rebuild since they aren't 100% effective.

As a fan, I hate tanking, especially in baseball. In other sports, those top 10 picks are expected to contribute that year. In baseball, even the best take at least a year to maybe get their toes wet. I get they aren't gonna spend and that's a bummer.
