In Pikmin 2's 2-Player Battle mode, there is an unused "force field" mechanic using electric nodes that corresponded to either team's respective hazard instead of electricity.

These can be captured by either opponent, and when uncaptured will remain inactive.

- Olimar's daughter
- Louie's grandma
- President's wife
- Spam (Default sfx)

Fun fact: In all releases of Pikmin 2, all characters that appear on the end of day mail screen use the same sound for the mail jingle, with the exception of the President.

This was an oversight, and in fact all characters were intended to have their own unique mail jingle sounds.
