A rusting Titan of industry; the massive, tangled and rust-red complex of the long silent and defunct Bethlehem Steel on the Lehigh River in Pennsylvania. This complex helped us win a world war; now it lies silent.

Bizarre tableaus found within the House of Dots near Slab City, California; an outsider art installation deep in the desert outside of Niland, California. I can't think of anywhere more quirky than this place, tucked away in one of the hottest places in the country.

The glorious Art Deco masterpiece that is Detroit, Michigan's Fisher Building. The Fisher Body Company built this gem in 1928, designed by Albert Kahn. It stands today as a reminder of when the automobile was king in the Motor City.

Scenes from within a decades-defunct Kirkbride mental institution in Buffalo, New York. While this section of the hospital is semi-abandoned and mostly in its original state, the central part of it has been renovated as a beautiful hotel.

Abandonment photography can and is, in my mind, a commentary on how we treat history in our country. Especially when it comes to schools. The ruins of old schools equates to our nation's neglect and abandonment of critical thinking, forward movement and a future worth having...

The old and defunct bathhouse at Jacumba Hot Springs, California, a mere few hundred feet from the Mexican border. Once, this was a popular spot to relax in the hot springs that "healed." Later, a fire took out the roof and upstairs rooms, leaving it as you see here.
