I think it ended for me when Resident Evil 6 had basically a slip of paper in the PS3 box, illiustrating the basic controls and that was it.
My favourite was the late 90's and early 2000's, with PC manuals in those large cardboard boxes, having plenty of room for a good book and a jewel case CD-ROM

This time last year I wasn't aware of the Soverign Citizen movement. Watching police bodycams over the last six months or so, I finally discovered these distubing beings.
A few of them believe it to be true but there's so many of 'em just reading from a script and hoping they can brute force it

I recall some people saying about "Die Another Day" that during his 40 years of the service, James learned to slow down his heart in that one scene, implying that there's only ever been one Bond throughout the decades.
Yeah it is a load of tosh really. The only canon link was the dead wife references

I had an Amstrad back in the day and yeah their box art was incredibly surreal. Oh Mummy looks either like a Brit sitcom about those wacky explorers, or a stop motion horror

This is pretty crazy! Has there been any Famicom games that required, or at least accepted optional keyboard input though?

Ohhhh so that's who he was referring to. I miss a lot of older, more obscure references in the Simpsons. For instance that Ray Bolger dig Homer did at Carl I had to look up and found it was Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz

Good call on that third chosen game! I remember finding it only once in an arcade on holiday during the mid 90s. Such a bonkers game and totally worth chucking in all the change I had on me to progress that little bit further

Tried this the other day and it's just wonderful 😊 Right in that 90s nostalgia with extra bells and whistles

My first mario game and one I stuck with until I completed it. I totally get the love of portable gaming too...a lynx here and game gear there. You really don't see them now, as it's just Switch standing alone

A lot of young gamers couldn't tolerate more than two minutes of game loading. Also we weren't reliant on the quality of telecommunications to ensure a smooth game experience

I miss that classic square modular look of old PCs. Now it's just cold white or black towers for a desktop (though I keep meaning to get some faux wood panel vinyl for mine)

God I remember getting the Amstrad version at Christmas! Absolute joystick wrecking game but great sounds and visuals nevertheless

I remember seeing this installed on a lot of pcs at my high school back in the 90s, unbeknownst to the I.T staff. I think we managed to get away with Keen 1 to 4 being installed at the time
