Weird thing is the guy was a pacifist who advised against the war. Based on the fact that the poorest would suffer. Still a conman though one in a long line btw.

Reminds me of people from really small towns. Who would go a city or a town over make a spectacle out of themselves. Then the next day wonder why nobody there likes dealing with them.

Honestly forgiving people like MTG is a tall order. For over ten years have people like her and the movement she’s a part of have harassed, doxed, had isolated people from their communities , had people fired, and even killed. So forgiveness is a very tall order maybe in another ten years. Maybe.

I still have memories of 10 x 20 units. In my local area we called them the super unit. Something so oversized you cannot outflank it or really out fight/shoot it. unless you respond with another super unit.

The way I’d describe AOS is a power metal album cover fighting a death metal album cover.
1st ed AOS had a ton of issues but later editions fixed them. Thing is it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it’s ok.

Besides one miniatures kit was outselling the whole line. The old tactical marines which is a bad sign. Also pre 8th edition 40k GW was hardly holding its own against its competitors. People were taking bets for how long until it goes under. Best the thing they did was fire their old CEO. 3/3

The background lore was not as accessible. E.g emperor Carl no one had any idea who he was as a character. Was He a good man trying His best or was He just a greedy politician. Depends on the writer until the end times and total war. 2/3

If I recall old WFB wasn’t that popular because of the rules and the “super unit”. Add in the high buy in “even for GW” because of the massive super unit. you had a game living on life support. Armies not being up dated for multiple editions. 1/3
