I highly recommend it. It works mechanically (and I like that it auto balances itself) but it truly shines when it comes to creating the setting and NPCs

I've learned that I can have a hobby that I can still be passionate about after a couple of years. I've learned to appreciate my work, even just a tiny little bit.

I'm not sure about endings, since I'd like to experience the whole story regardless of the difficulty level, but achievements and unlocks - oh yeah, I can see that!

It's also fine to play on the easiest difficulty. You don't have to overcome extreme challenges to enjoy the game. Ain't nobody got time for that.
