It’s strange how a Janus coin is depicted on the lamp.

Most Roman coins depicting Janus date to the Republican period. Janus was almost never shown on Imperial era coinage.

As you mentioned earlier the lamp was from the second half of the 1st century CE, which is within the Imperial period.

I think I own one of the coins given out during the New Year:

My coin is a silver Denarius of emperor Commodus. The coin depicts Liberalitas, the goddess of generosity.

Roman coins depicting the goddess Liberalitas were often given out by emperors as gifts to citizens.

The 1922 Peace dollar is a very common coin. In addition, the coin was “cleaned” or “polished” which eliminated any collector value. So I’m fine with wearing it as jewelry. I’m not going to be carrying around any valuable coins.

The 1930 Australian penny does have an interesting backstory. A lot of valuable coins had ties to the Great Depression. The most valuable US coin, the 1933 $20 gold piece, escaped the melting pot when the US went off the gold standard during the Depression.

I keep all of my ancient Greco-Roman coins in an album. I do wear a chain necklace with a 1922 silver dollar pendant when I’m out in public.

Copper artifacts made by the “Old Copper Culture” were found in Michigan. Apparently the Great Lakes were one of the few places where pure native copper can be prospected. In contrast most copper in nature occurs as impure ores. The Natives simply hammered the copper into tools instead of smelting.
