It's much better than I remember because in this video it's running Quake III and the frame rate is okay. Some dithering issues but barely noticeable.

When he started his YouTube channel ~15 years ago, I watched it a bit and was amazed at how little he knew about computers. I couldn't believe my eyes when I realise 5 years ago that he's YouTube's biggest tech channel. I was like what?!

I don't think anyone bought the MX 4000 for gaming. Maybe very few fell for the GeForce name but the GeForce brand wasn't as strong as it is now. These cards went into office machines.

Great article as usual, with real data instead of assumptions.

Could it be that Intel didn't fully catch this issue because they are mainly testing with their own CPU's, which since the 12th gen are packet with a huge number of cores?

A buddy of mine just played through the first Crysis and I watched his stream. It looks amazing.

Oh TruePower even worse. It was a disaster for my business. The one you have is a model that was included with cases (SLK3000 or something). PCP&C great until OCZ bought them 😢

That's a really bad era for Antec. That model, plus the models right after, had the most failures of any power supply I've ever seen.

You can't belive how many fans I've trashed because of bad bearings and I never thought of replacing them. 🤡
I still have PTSD from the dozens of Kyro cards I threw out because of bad caps. Retro just wasn't a thing back then.
Where do you buy your bearings?

What's your main gpu for testing?

Is it hard to replace the ball bearings?
December 1, 2024 at 9:25 AM
Seems right. My first machine cost that much too and it was the cheapest I could get.
