Did I go overboard
This is a one star review that I wrote of the Gulf of Mexico, recently renamed to the Gulf of America by the current 2025 sitting US president. The review is as follows: "There is no Gulf of America on any standard cartographic resource, so this must be a bug or an illegally placed label. Google Maps doesn't conform to any standards of cartographic excellence and makes no guarantee of accuracy or legal compliance, so unfortunately we can't really expect any reasonable corrections."

These protected features are essential for making road junctions safe for bicycles. The junction is between Manzanita Avenue, East Eaton Road, and Wildwood Avenue, in the city of Chico, California. I love that my hometown is building a bridge near one of the two highways that bisect town. It doesn't cross the highway though, and resources might have been better spent on peanut roundabout service interchanges and such. North-west of there, the highway is on crossable viaducts and embankments.

I hate those things. I also hate when they don't have a transition to the road/sidewalk that the path ends at. Either one is unacceptable but if there's both, it's like you've signed up for an obstacle course

Both views are zoomed in on the end of a bike path to show two staggered fence cards that are inteded block access to cars. They force a path user to weave side to side in order to access the path. An unintended result is that larger mobility devices and adaptive bikes will have accessibility issues navigating through the gates.

Bollards are good for the safety of bikes. Don't ride like a bullet into them, slow down to where you can aim for the gap in between 😋 what's worse is fence cards that get installed on the end of a bike path, where you have to snake your bike through. It's an accessibility issue for adaptive bikes.

Chico
