It's not every day you get to tick off the top spot of "Toys i could only dream of as a kid".
Yes, its the 2002 reissue, but i don't care. It's truly amazing.

Nothing quite like replacing your wifi router to remember how many wifi devices you have that all need reconnecting.

Designed and printed a vertical enclosure for a pair of old Tandons i had to suit the Tandy.
Once I find a genuine drive for the Model 1, ill reprint the covers in beige and they'll go to the System 80.

Sitting atop my grail list for the longest time has been a TRS80 Model 1, Level 2 with the expansion interface.
Finally, FINALLY it's done. So freaking happy.

I kinda went a bit quiet whilst dealing with, well…. Unemployment. Most probably know I’ve spent the last 18 years at the University of Canberra.
But good news! Next week I start in a new position at UNSW.
(Although I’m not going to deny, the last few months have been nice to have off).

Ever sold a car and as it's driving off you think "Shit, I'm gonna regret that".
My Amiga 2000
We put sooooo much time into restoring this machine but over a year ago I sold it thinking I have other machines that can basically do the same thing.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to buy it back.

I bet a new video from me wasn't on your bingo card this weekend?
Big thanks to @theretrochannel.bsky.social for joining me as I do my first video in a loooong time (kinda rusty)

Jess needed a new car. An Alfa wasn’t on the list. Then we drove it.
I know it’ll break our hearts and empty our wallets, but it’s such a special car.
Oh, and I traded the Kia on a GTI 😁

After 18 years, as of tomorrow morning I’ll be unemployed. I’ve been made redundant after years of putting my all into my job. I’m hurt and disappointed, but am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I’ll miss my team and my academics the most.
