The strength of the SE naming is that it is not tied to a specific generation & could skip future ones, by keeping the same tech & pricing from release day. Moving to series numbering, 16E, will instantly make age it in the lineup, and would make apple need to refresh it more frequently than SE

Air version sounds interesting for those who want a light device, but I’m not sure I’m sold on the single camera rumor. Goes against the Apple vision argument to enjoy real spatial videos
