I used to work with a couple of leaders who always used to say, ‘was it a full moon last night?’ Makes me ‘grrrrrr’ a little internally these days but I understand the sentiment

I feel exactly the same Alex. Used to have so many sleepless nights worrying that the kids got the grades they needed. I don’t miss it!

I would agree Laura. The job has changed so much. I started headship last September. So much work expected over the holidays, not just safeguarding but lots to do in order to improve the facilities. Very time consuming and in a tight space of time.

Do the same. As a school, we have had requests. “We are unable to attend as we are on holiday”. Some of this increasing expectation happens because as professionals we are enabling it.
