I like to post pictures of various CAD design projects related to gaming
I really cannot overstate how helpful the existing Gamecube Controller CAD model was. It's a very well polished model that was one of the main pillars for this project. Its an amazing resource for the community! You can check out the creator's website here: www.gearhawkstudio.com

The 3D modeling was very tedious, but went pretty quickly given how large of a model it is! I'm very satisfied with the 3D CAD! It'll be a big help as I begin to create modern keyboard and controller electronics!

So far, I have reverse engineered the GC Keyboard Controller's shell, based on my own 3D scans and the GCC CAD from
GearhawkStudio. Eventually, I'd like to create custom electronics as well that both recreate the original and add modern features!

I don't know for sure about fading, but it should be very scratch and wear resistant because the design isn't just on the surface of the shell!

Please forgive the artwork not being super accurate, I had a bit of a time crunch to get this ordered!

Looks awesome! Excellent work!

Definitely! I've got it all ready in CAD, just need to test it out!

It's been surprisingly tricky to get right, I'm really excited for how it's coming along!

That was ordered from JLCPCB's translucent resin option. I like how it turned out!

Thank you! These are actually done in resin. The transparent ones are formlabs clear v4 and the translucent is JLC's translucent resin option

Thanks haha! I'd love to get some transparent red and blue new 3DS shells to match the Charizard and Blastoise faceplates!

Looks excellent, its a nice way to print parts that are otherwise too small or delicate. Super impressive work on the N64DD, I can't wait to download it to add to my digital collection! :)

Thank you so much, I appreciate it!

Printables is still processing the files, but it should be up soon!

I've been using Fusion! But there's a lot of great, free for hobbyist CAD softwares out there, they're all pretty similar. Fusion does have the benefit of lots of tutorials online

It's not quite ready yet unfortunately, I'm still working on making sure everything assembles correctly
