Dr. Carl Sagan, professor of cosmology and planetary sciences, testifying before Congress in the 1980s of the threat of climate change. But according to the US President, this was a very "stupid" person to warn of our looming ecological disaster.

Cognizant of our current political landscape, I am very excited to be co-organizing a neat little grassroots initiative: a community discussion on schools and democracy.

I hope school divisions across Manitoba advance similar initiatives. @mbteachers.bsky.social @publicedmb.bsky.social

U.S. trade war has pushed Canada into ‘recession territory.’ Here’s what that means
Canada’s gross domestic product took a hit in recent months, Statistics Canada revealed on Friday. Economists say the data is worse than expected, and largely a result of the trade war with the U.S.

Last week, Animal Justice spoke at a Winnipeg rally to oppose a mega-dairy operation in North Dakota. It would cause heartbreaking suffering to 37,500 cows & produce staggering amounts of manure—threatening irreparable damage to Lake Winnipeg, animals, & the environment 💧🐮

Animal livestock industries are cruel, ecologically destructive, and significant contributors to climate change. We are committing a considerable disservice to Manitoba youth if we do engage in critical learning and reflection on the impacts of our diets.
