If I’m being optimistic, I will say that just giving the code assistant a hint will often result in it finding the real issue. Are we going to have programmers that can give those hints? Idk.

My point is that for in distribution stuff (e.g., web apps) they work great. If you have no clue what you are doing though, they are going to lead you down the wrong path. In other words, how do jr engineers become sr engineers if have the equivalent of jr engineers helping them with code?

idk if this type of issue would be obviously apparent in C/C++, but it's starting to become clear to me that claude is lacking when it comes to multithreaded stuff. It's wanting to fix concurrency problems by just moving the serial bottle neck to a different part of the code.

After a bit more interaction, progress bars feel surprisingly out of distribution for claude. I wonder if it's just rust and indicatif or if it's a larger issue. Is there not a lot of training data that makes use of progress bars and status updates?!?!?

Some more examples of Claude trying to do dumb things that you need to know wtf is going on to catch.

Also, those Mercedes and AMG that cost 2x+? Guess who has 400+ WHEEL hp/torque now, is still at less than 75% of your MSRP, and has an AWD system that can rotate. I am irrationally mad, but don't put it in the newspaper.

I burned trees to verify I'm not delusional. Look at that. Not even gemini is dumb enough to mention reliability concerns and instead mentions the ride quality. Also, for good measure, the Audis and Mercedes in its super hatch list are both automatic dual clutch transmissions vs the RS's 6 speed.
