WORDS OF WISDOM
Reggae icon Jimmy Cliff, has died at the age of 81 (11/24/2025)

“I have a dislike for politicians, as they’re not truthful people. I looked up the meaning of politics — poli means people, a tic is a bloodsucking parasite.’’

IN RESTROSPECT, WHAT YOU WISH YOU WOULD HAVE SAID WHEN... (IRWYWYWHSW...)

A president says to you, “You don’t have to embarrass our guest by asking a question like thal and refers to your query as "horrible, insubordinate, and just a terrible question.”

HOLDING ONE"S BREATH TO SEE

RE: Trump's one hundred and eighty degree turn on the House's vote to release all Epstein DOJ files. When will the other shoe drop, how big will it be?

MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS
The unlimited application of the idea of the "playable lie" is central both to the way Donald Trump plays golf and the way he governs as president.

OLD MAN SPECULATION: LATE TO THE PARTY EDITION
There is a lot of talk about the "6-7" slang meme's addition to the lexicon which supposedly originated from the 2024 drill track titled "Doot Doot" by Philadelphia rapper Skrilla where the numbers are repeated multiple times in several catchy ways.

FACTS vs TRUTH
A significant amount of home mortgage principal is paid starting at the 7 to 13 year tipping point when more than half of the payment is for principal rather than interest. The average US mortgage life is 7 – 8 years. Economists please discuss data vis-a-vis home price appreciation.

NASTER OF THE OBVIOUS
As soon as American consumers are able to purchase $15-20,000 brand new electric vehicles from China, the objections to their wide spread acceptance because of "inadequate range" and "difficult recharging" concerns will become much, much more manageable.

They're more like matching (sanctimoniously gutless) corner bookends, ever so "casually draped" with clutching pearls, but your point is well taken
F*** Lisa Murkowski.

She's just Susan Collins west of the Mississippi.

NOT BREAKING NEWS
The ultimate demise of irony has been declared many times. Its actual date of death and the ultimate significance of its passing is still a topic of serious discussion. Interestingly, the tragic concomitant loss of subtlety and its previous importance is much less remarked upon.

Donald Trump's physical decline is obvious. He speaks with an obvious lisp. His affect fully embraces his 79 years. He is incapable of speaking three coherent sentences in a row. Far from being a "master of 3D chess", his intellect is so degraded that his ability to play 1D Tic-Tac-Toe is suspect.

More like showing up unarmed to a thumb war, but point taken, kind'a.
It's not fair, but, on a personal level, the fact that Gavin Newsom decided that it was a great idea to marry Kimberly Guilfoyle does not allow me to think of him as a particularly perspicacious person. Is love only/just blind?
Sorry , it was funny and sometimes in all the chaos a little lol is needed

NO WORLD PROBLEM
It may be old age, but my ability to maintain the willing suspension of disbelief necessary to experience artistic endeavors is failing - the almost constant eye-rolling clashes between tensions and pretensions are experienced most like the collisions of matter and anti-matter.

GOP MOTTO
No time for lying,
We're all dead in the long run.
Stop crying!
There's nothing to dread!
Don't worry about billionaires!
Follow the good news of salvation -
it won't help the nation,
but life ever after in 1950s heaven awaits all Christians.
For everyone else,
life sucks then you die.

The Floundering of America
That scene in Animal House where Flounder starts to cry after seeing that the Deltas ruined his brother's car and Otter says, "Flounder you can't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes. You f'd up, you trusted us", somehow reminds me of the MAGAs & Trump, 2025.

I went to Walgreen's last Sunday to speak strongly to the Head Pharmacists on Duty about an ongoing prescription problem. I knew it was Mother's Day, but the store didn't seem to be busy, though my way was blocked (I use a manual wheelchair) by boxes of fresh flower bouquets placed along the front.

Actually "nomophonbia," is an oldie, the expression was created a long time ago. It means "the fear of being without your phonograph". 😀
I just learned that a fear of being without your phone is called "nomophobia." I feel like it should be "nomophonbia," shouldn't it?
