26. Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!

The best rhythm game of all, every song is so 2000's anime op coded and the premise of getting this cheer squad to help with lives hardships is super funny and touching at times

25. Juice (1992)

I quite like the characters, In particular Bishop and I think it's fun seeing these guys hang out but the performances are iffy and I don't think it manages to land on a central point the way it wants but the last 30 mins where Tupac is a slasher villain is cool

24. Dark Souls III

I liked it a lot more this time around, still my personal least favourite dark souls but I've grown to appreciate what it is.

23. Dark Souls III: The Ringed City

Definitely more interesting than the previous DLC and Gael goes hard, hate MIDir

22. Gitaroo Man Lives!

Incredibly cute game with a banger ost, shame I had to play this over the ps2 version but it still has that same heart that made me fw in the first place

21. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

Game is the coolest at all times and doesn't slow down for a second, exploring is a blast and even though ball bustin' every challenge felt super satisfying to overcome

20. Pokémon XD

Super fun time, I really like the purifying mechanic and the little puzzle element of fitting your mons together to more easily purify stuff down the line, very satisfying

Pretty good

18. Donut County

It's fine, it's really simple and I was pretty tired of the dialogue after the first couple levels, the last area was the most interesting but it's like the game ends as soon as the idea starts to land

17. Panzer Dragoon II Zwei

Much harder and darker but I think cooler overall than the remake of 1, I can see why people take issue with the visual aesthetic of the remake but I just like both

16. Don't Be Dumb - A$AP Rocky

By no means perfect but for a guy like me there's enough here to keep me sated, just a bunch of loosely connected bangers with enough creative stuff going on to make it feel fresh the whole way through.

15. Panzer Dragoon: Remake

I really like it, the controls were tight and the aesthetic was great, I wish there was more of a connecting narrative but at like an hours game time I can't be too mad

14. Cloverpit

The vibe is nice and while satisfying it didn't hit me in the hyper addictive way you want with this kinda game, I played to the ending then put it down

13. Halo: Combat Evolved

Full of iconic bits, I really like how vibrant the game is in the first half contrasting the darker moodier parts in the second, it's a blast even if there game is pretty lopsided in quality with the second half just being less interesting to play

12. Twilight: New Moon

I'm glad they focused on Jacob for a whole movie because i was not getting the love triangle vibe at all from the first granted I'm still firmly team Edward hence why I like this one slightly less, it also just feels less iconic

10. Tetris Effect

A great sensory experience, I love Tetris but damn is it annoying that this game would randomly disconnect my controller every 5-10 minutes

9. Once Upon a Katamari

It's fun, the powers don't add enough, the concept doesn't elevate the existing ideas and they fumble the ending but damn is it still fun, it being on newer systems and having the ability to do levels that move and change as you play is the best new thing

8. Drakengard 2

I wish I liked this more than I do, the game lacks a lot of the bite the rest of the series as and soothes out a lot of what made it interesting both narratively and in gameplay but it has it's moments

7. Kowloon High-School Chronicle

I love this pretty much front to back, yeah its clunky and puzzles can be confusing but when met on its own terms it has some really endearing characters and some cool mechanics that make you think about space and positioning

6. Ashita no Joe Pilots

It definitely feels old but that adds to it's charm especially with the pilots ability to really sell you on what the show is going for and some of the shots look pretty great as well as some shockingly cool impact frames on the action scenes

5. Pokémon Black

I forgot just how good this was, at times it feels like such a traditional JRPG and has some of my favourite set pieces in a Pokémon game not to mention a lot of general flourishes that makes the final sprite based Pokémon gen feel premium

4. Twilight

Incredibly earnest, it's all pretty ridiculous and has super surreal vibes at times making it both intentionally and unintentionally funny; and is awkward in a way that being young and fantasising about hot boys in a town where nobody knows you should be.

3. Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn

Pretty cool, it's all setup and that set up is good but I'm looking more so forward to the characters coming together in the show.

2. Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel

Pretty short and I'm not fucking with the open snowy area which is most of the dlc but the boss and general vibe of the chapel are good.
