In 2015 I can remember thinking that someone would talk him out of going through with the nomination. I was convinced he wouldn't want to be subject to the constraints of the presidency.
I was 53 years old and so innocent.

True. This is why Trump and Bondi reversed the no additional prosecutions memo they issued earlier this year.

I hope his summer plans didn't include his usual visit the Martha's Vineyard.

Finally! The Obamacare replacement promised in 2 weeks on February 18, 2017.

Well, if he's innocent, then he should want ALL of the emails released, right? Not just the 23,000 "cherry-picked" ones! 😆

They were working on Trump's replacement for Obamacare.

What happened? Wasn't that flood supposed to take care of that?

I expect some executives view it as a way to lock employees into jobs. If you quit it's very expensive to replace.

Big reason that the GOP hate government solutions to health insurance.

And absolutely no awareness by any of them of the other kin in the photo.
At first, I thought the photographer should lose his license, but after some analysis perhaps this is a masterpiece of storytelling.

I'm perplexed every time I see this photo. Who has a toy stuffed lion that can support the weight of a kid? The cars on the floor in front of Barron signify what? Just random faux childhood clutter? Melania's cape is being blown by the apartment's AC?

I think this is going to be a big loss for the GOP.
First, don't assume the house passes the Senate bill. Johnson may not bring them back into session to vote on it.
Second, the GOP now clearly owns the ACA increases. Not good going into an election year.
November 10, 2025 at 6:26 AM
This is going to be a huge failure for the GOP once the new premiums kick in.
November 10, 2025 at 4:37 AM
How will the GOP blame the Dems for the shutdown when Johnson refuses to bring them back to vote on the Senate bill?
November 10, 2025 at 4:32 AM
This isn't a disaster for the Dems. Why? 1. There's no certainty that the house is going to approve what's passed in the Senate. If they don't, the government remains shutdown and the GOP clearly owns it. 2. The GOP will not survive the premium increases. They've refused the life ring.

Who snuck into this Whitehouse and told him the insurance companies are the villains? The insurance companies have been funding the GOP for decades.

The villains are supposed to be Democrats who are supposedly giving undocumented MS-13 gang members free health care and spa treatment cards.

Probably doesn't speak to their desired demographic, but a body armor manufacturer should come out with ad with their product's sandwich protective rating.

If ever in doubt, Trump now knows that he can't survive a fair 2026 election.

The Democratic party needs to clearly speak to his plans to corrupt the election.
