Yeah, it connects the main entrance of the theme park to the park itself up the top there. It also looks like it should have been abandoned but hasn’t.

I’m going to take that as a huge compliment for my photography skills ☺️🤣

The beach I walk at is full of dog walkers, many of them men. And I think they only walk because the dog gives them visible cover for self-care. They can then stroll along at sunrise and sit and have a nice coffee but only because they’re out walking the dog. And they think *I’m* the oddball.

I’ve been contemplating this while in Japan where straight men *are* doing things. I think in England in particular, most straight men are doing nothing. There’s some weird taboo around doing anything nice for oneself. People think I’m weird because I go to the beach for morning walks and sauna. 🤷🏻

This morning? This morning. It’s definitely this morning.

Sitting unrefrigerated next to the cereal bars just out in the open. Feels like a recipe for a tough 24-36 hours.

I will not be biting into that abomination to find out. You’re going to have to come to Japan yourself and try it.

However, there is a lot to be said for just pottering about in places the universe never planned for you to visit. Being curious and a curiosity, avoiding adding to the over-tourism problems elsewhere in Japan, seeing the country as most of it is - rural, quiet, beautiful, tired.
