Not at all, in fact the opposite. Tom carries himself as someone who has the one and only *correct* opinion on movies and tv, is often an asshole about it, and that’s what rubs me wrong.

Been here 15 years now. But originally from Mississippi. So I’ve been surrounded by republicans my whole life lol.

Also, Miami just elected its first Dem mayor in 30 years. Just because it’s been a while, doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

What about the 13 point swing in Tennessee recently? All it would take to flip Texas is a 7-8 point swing 🤔

Senate races get a lot more national attention than attorney general races, which tend to line up with the vote for governor imo. I know some Floridians who didn’t truly get to know DeSantis until he ran for president, despite voting for him for governor, and there was some definite wincing regret..

I wasn’t asking him not to talk about it, just not to speak for us. But you’re right, I definitely could’ve worded that better :)

It’s not about the politics, it’s about the candidates and their talent for getting attention in a congested attention economy.

And I’m of the opinion that by the time Nov 2026 rolls around, even Texans won’t want to vote in yet another corrupt criminal clown into office as our economy is cratering. We shall see.
