This is incredibly precious!

The costumes really gets me emotional. They go home and have full-on other lives, the internet and world whirring around them, but still think of our classes, the spaces that we create.

It’s been a project of years: up 90% in enrollments since I started at my school. My first year, there were 87 students in German.

It’s, uh, cozy in my classroom. I feel lucky to be deskless because there’s just no room for kids otherwise. Class sizes are 35, 34, 26, 38 (!), 26. Testing the upper limits of my management skills, especially with the 38-student class that knows each other super well.

I know everyone’s contexts are different so I’m genuinely asking: is that a lot for you? (It feels like a lot for me!!)
