The possibility of A. N. Other winning this seat for Labour is probably very low down single percentage figures. The odds are well stacked for hello reform and bye bye Starmer and bye bye McSweeney and also kiss your own seat goodbye at the next general election.

There was a time when music most folks engaged with was live, played & sung by themselves, their neighbours, peers, friends & visitors. Recording came along & set the bar much higher. Real folk music became a minority pursuit & higher standard vinyl output turned the majority into passive consumers.

No Robin Cook That’s why he’s still in UK govt. If he’d taken a principled stand would he still be foreign secretary? I doubt it. He’d either have resigned or been pushed out of office. If you grow a spine too quickly in UK govt you’re toast long before you’ve had the chance to make a difference.
