C'mon @ddayen.bsky.social the right cannibalizes itself non stop. Not every Democrat is excited by Cory Booker or Chuck Shumer. Sometimes in-fighting is good, because it gives people with differing viewpoints hope that their viewpoint has a chance to win.

For starters he could show some leadership by not legislating. When the President breaks the law, and defies the will of Congress, then you shouldn't legitimize him by begging for a meeting. What good does it do to pass a bill that he will just ignore?

This is stupid. It's a common propaganda trick to make you complacent. Just because the world wasn't perfect 6 months ago, doesn't mean everything would be the same if Harris had won. If you don't understand this then you are part of the problem.

The courts can oppose Trump because he was breaking the law. This bill codifies many of their actions into law. Can the courts stop someone from following the law? Shummer got a call from Wall street saying a shut down would be bad for business and he obeyed, because he really works for them.

At what point can we stop saying "___ didn't vote for this"? I understand that it's uncomfortable and dangerous to suggest that almost 80m Americans are ignorant monsters, but it's more dangerous not too.

Biden shouldn't pardon them. It's an admission of guilt. Why give him the win? Force his AG nominee to admit they are going to do this or lie under oath. Force them to pierce existing immunities. Force them to find a judge in the DC circuit to take the case. If all else fails force him to jail you.
