From all my research the Attlee over was social democratic but I’m happy to read anything you have. I’m Brit/yank dual national. My personal feelings are 2 many humans are power hungry and greedy and they corrupt systems of governance. Socialism doesn’t work when humans need incentives to work hard.

Attlee government was a mixture of socialism and capitalism, they did amazing things but they weren’t a pure socialist government. They used public companies to compete with private businesses which is a great thing as it puts the brakes on runaway capitalism. A pure capitalist system would suck

Late stage capitalism is currently happening and the only avenue for the common man is to hold your nose and vote democrat. Democrats need to rally around candidates that win the primary even if they aren’t perfect. Democrats especially young ones would rather stay home than vote for moderates.

I’m a social democrat but sadly it’s easy to paint socialism as bad because we haven’t had a country that has pulled it off without slipping into a dictatorship or authoritarianism to control productivity and growth. As a species we need to evolve before socialism can work.

Russia supports anything that degrades trust in institutions and pushes both sides of the political spectrum against each other. They support populist leaders on both sides and love pushing referendums on Scottish independence and brexit as both weaken the UK they have manifestos and books on it
