Mr. Delawhere?

The manwhich, the mythwhich, the legendwhich.
Ah yes, “crimes can’t be new” philosophy.

“It’s not an exact analogue to something that was punished before. Therefore, the law is powerless to conclude that it is wrong.”

How is a politician supposed to predict which bribes they can accept if we keep inventing new crimes? We need predictability!

Let’s think about this for two seconds: what about “implicit” quids pro quo?

Would you honestly not view it as corrupt for your neighborhood crime boss to have a bunch of cops “on the payroll”, because he wasn’t paying for explicit and defined services from those officers?

Nerd alert.

I bet you’re the kind of dweeb that checks the rules for how you’re supposed to cite to the rules.

I notice you didn’t mention how you rushed down to Dover late at night to sign SB 21 the second it squeezed out of the house.

Kinda seems like you know it’s a wildly unpopular bill. Did your bosses give you a deadline or something?

“Chancery Court” sounds wrong to those who actually know it. It’s the Court of Chancery.

Not like you respect it anyway, SB 21 hardly provides “clarity” or “predictability.” The only thing predictable is you bending over backwards to appease Musk, Zuckerberg, and Phil fucking Shawe.
March 29, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Sure sounds like keeping powerful Billionaires happy with SB 21 is your priority.
March 23, 2025 at 10:50 PM
One Friday evening, not long ago, Meta told the WSJ they were “thinking about” leaving Delaware.

You set up a meeting with law firms who represent Musk and Zuckerberg the very next day, a Saturday. That Sunday Meta’s in-house lawyers were meeting directly with you.

Education is great, but what about working class pensions, retirement savings, and college savings accounts that hold stock?

SB 21 is a license for Billionaires to steal working class savings.

What’s the point of education if you’ll let Musk and Zuckerberg steal everything we manage to save?

Clearing your weekend to chat with Musk and Zuckerberg’s lawyers when they complain about Delaware law is as clear a summary of your priorities as one can find.

Do you not see how SB 21 is empowering this administration and its key allies? If you’re opposed to them, then why support SB 21?
March 21, 2025 at 6:21 PM
I’d take this a lot more seriously if you didn’t have a “customer service” mindset towards serving Musk and Zuckerberg with SB 21.

If Meta and WalMart call a weekend meeting with you to say they’ll leave Delaware unless you back off Trump, what would you do?

Does the ethics training extend to the attorneys who drafted your SB 21 bill?

To this day, not one of them has publicly acknowledged their conflicts of interest.

I’ve heard of Defense Lawyers in Wilmington who play Polo with their own stables of horses. If you didn’t know, as I didn’t, one rides many, many horses in a single round of polo.

I think it’s not “nobody should be paid that much,” it’s “the wrong people are being paid, on my friend’s dime.”

The rich can pay millions for fancy lawyers, who get paid more the more they drag out a case and delay justice (if any is to be had).

Plaintiffs (generally) seek to hold wealthy and powerful folks accountable.

If you only talk to defense lawyers, you’re only hearing from the friends of the rich.

“Actually, since this gold was stolen from the Nazis, the mere fact that I possess it actually hurts them.

It’s hard to communicate that to people, though, when they notice that I am trying to sell them a swastika stamped ingot.”
March 15, 2025 at 2:01 PM
I need to point out—you’re complaining about disinformation on social media while repeating disinformation on social media.

We have more corporations than ever, and only a tiny handful of whiners are saying they’re “thinking about” leaving. The Franchise is strong if you’ll let it be.

Please stop threatening everyday Delawareans with financial ruin if you don’t get your way on this bill.

It’s now abundantly clear that the only threat to Delaware Corporate Law IS SB 21.

Why all this effort to lure back the 8 companies that left in 2024? Is Musk that special to you?
March 13, 2025 at 1:49 AM
Broke: Delaware law bad

Woke: You’re backing SB 21 because you’re scared of Elon Musk lashing out because Chancery (correctly) took away his pay package.

All of the experts (who don’t get paid by Billionaire controllers) agree that this bill will destroy Delaware law.
March 12, 2025 at 3:12 PM
You cut out the best part, your “Elon who?” joke. youtu.be/odbAsJ_jtEc?...

A microcosm of your approach to this bill—just pretend you’re not doing Musk a huge favor, and hope we don’t notice.

I’ve come to think that most of them know that climate change is real, currently happening, and caused by human activities.

Denying it is just a signal of political loyalty, and for some of them, a way to make more money.

None of them are testing counter-hypotheses, they’re just emotional.
March 7, 2025 at 6:09 PM
The subtext I keep gleaning is “just go along with this, if we piss off Elon, who knows what he’ll do now that he’s in the White House. We have to do something or he’ll start harassing us personally, just like Shawe.”

Weak justifications, propping up a truly spineless agenda.

I choose to believe it’s solidarity with that guy who got bench slapped by Slights for being underdressed on covid zoom court, then lied about having a medical exemption from neckties.
March 7, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Mr. WalMart himself told me that if they don’t pass this bill then they’re gonna die.

Please, my children will only eat WalMart “great value” Franchise Fees. We must keep them at any cost or my family will be destroyed.
March 7, 2025 at 3:22 AM
will have a negative impact on Delaware’s economy.

And why won’t you discuss the issue in public? There is tons of reporting that you were the organizer of SB 21, and yet no public communication has officially come from your office one way or the other. Take a stance on your own bill Governor.
