Partly statement I’d agree, but also they did put themselves in this position due to game two result! Either way I’m not too bothered about us being out of Leagues Cup - if they ever move the schedule around to turn this into a start of the season tournament I *might* be more invested.

At least the coaching staff are being realistic about the offensive production of this team, an at least 4+ goal win being needed just isn’t something we could pull off, even if we were fully healthy!

Totally fine with the Messi suspension, and it’s the right thing if you ask me. Fans had Messi at ASG advertised and sold to them as part of the price. Then the guy no shows after all the marketing? I’d be livid if I had that happen to me.

Entering the half level is probably about right. STL had some great shots kept out, Galaxy had that great breakaway that they wasted with the poor final pass. Second half will be quite interesting to watch!

Anyway pretty bad night for Vancouver in the middle of what is otherwise a fantastic season for them. Also hope Cubas can stay out of his own head after this, man had a rough night. That’s all I got, time to call it a night.

I don’t have the answers in my mind considering I have a day job to wake up for in like 6 hours, but this seems a pretty obvious issue that (probably) MLS should consider when making schedules.

Maybe the gripe can be directed at CONCACAF for moving a final that used to be in April to June? Or giving a full month between the semi-finals and the final (presumably to sell hospitality packages and tickets?) instead of the two weeks that it was in the prior iterations of the tournament

And it’s not even like you can blame Liga MX teams for having rest, it’s literally the end of the Clausura by the time June 1 rolls around, what do we expect them to do, extend their season?
