Aight so I figured I’d do monthly updates about cleaning my gaming backlog. Think of these as short little “I beat [blank] today and here are my thoughts”.
Man, I forgot how much of a pain job hunting is. I’m not unemployed (thank god) but I do need a second job which in this current market feels like needing to predict 5 consecutive coin flips in a row.

Okay so I just got done playing and watching Angels of Death and I’ll give my full thoughts when I got some sleep in my system but holy shit that ending is confusing. I’ve seen like, 5 different interpretations of it and each of them are infinitely better than the actual author explanation.

Tbh when I started my second run I kinda expected to play as 2B. I also expected it to not anal rape me on the first boss.

First run of NieR Automata is down and holy shit was that so good. The ending was a bit underwhelming but it’s only one of five so hopefully the rest are better. Gotta say I was not expecting the game to go full Hevean’s Gate on me towards the end but it certainly held my attention.

First run of NieR Automata is down and holy shit was that so good. The ending was a bit underwhelming but it’s only one of five so hopefully the rest are better. Gotta say I was not expecting the game to go full Hevean’s Gate on me towards the end but it certainly held my attention.

February 1st I beat DDLC+
…I lost a bet. In all seriousness though it was pretty boring at first but once that first scare hit (you know the one) it never really slowed back down. The music was a vibe, the setting was unassuming to a sinister degree, and the character designs are distinct enough-

January 21st: I beat Bayonetta and I unfortunately have mixed feelings about it. On one hand you have the high octane combat and stylistic character designs a guy like me is yearning for. On the other hand I stopped feeling like a demonic witch and more like a sandbag halfway through the game.

January 7th: I beat Coffee Talk 1 and 2. Idk how I got this in my library but I did (maybe it was to help with the stress of dealing with work). That being said, this game series is like hard drugs. Never before have I been so invested in 2D sprites. I absolutely love the fantasy setting.-

January 5th: I beat Ender Lillies. Pretty solid game despite the bullshit final boss. This is a fairly long game if you’re a Neanderthal like me. Pretty dark story as well. Kinda reminds me of bloodborne mixed with hollow knight. The spirit mechanic is also really cool. Overall a nice 8/10.
