Video games! I like them a lot, and I'm on a journey towards building my own games room. Follow along?

I played Beravor as a Pathfinder with additional Musician skills. The card based system is great.

Beravor's ability to scout more during the turn gives so many options to map out actions. Only towards the end I felt like I'm beginning to understood how much is possible with that!

"The heroes win the campaign!", and with that, our playthrough of Bones of Arnor ended after 14 chapters.

This is The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth, a co-op board game played with the support of an app. We fought creatures of darkness, collected artifacts …

160 consoles, 50 years of games, and my favourite was ... [checks notes] ... Lemmings on the Amiga 500?

In all seriousness, this a fantastically designed game that holds up. It was fun right from the start, needed no explanation or sound, making it perfect for this setting.

It is great to see so many people enjoying #PokemonZA! For myself, I decided to go back and pick up my playthrough of #PokemonMoon.

In 2020, I made it halfway through the game. Continuing from there was harder than expected, but I relearned the game and saw credits after 65h59m.

Do you sometimes fall behind on posting about games you have played? Yeah, me neither. Totally.

Anyway, here is #HanaSamurai: Art of the Sword on the 3DS. I beat the game in 5h35m, and enjoyed it way more than I had expected.

An early version of the game is playable here, coria.itch.io/coria.

Some of the development updates are great as well, for example, on the design of the main character. Seems like progress has slowed down these days, but would be awesome to see this game finished one day!

A game I randomly remembered seeing at #Gamescom years ago is #Coria and the Sunken City. A 2D platformer developed for original Game Boy hardware.

Kind of insane, but also cool. The game has a beautiful animated trailer by @machaon.bsky.social on YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=tplZ...

I might want to replay this myself at some point. The "Cyber Renaissance" style they come up with for the game is one of my favourite things.

I won't be able to play #TitanQuestII for a while, but it just felt right to support the game at this point.

The developer is from the same area that I grew up in, and they are putting a lot of care and attention into this sequel. I'm rooting for the project and the team!

First up, Special Episode: Turnabout Reclaimed from Dual Destinies.

Instantly, one of my favourite cases in the series. I don't want to give too many details, but Phoenix was always going to cross-examine the whale. The way this was done, however, ah, so good! ✨

I'm on a quest ...

... to complete every case in the #AceAttorney mainline series. I have already played through all six games roughly when they released, but I haven't played the DLC cases – until now!

I even got somewhat ambitious and started collecting the achievements. A bit proud of how far I got, actually. Here's my progress:

Are there games you associate with a specific time of year?

For me, it's the Subset Games titles and warm summer nights. Playing #FTL with the window open, the evening glow, the soundtrack. So calm, so at home.

This year, I picked #IntotheBreach back up, and it hit that summer feeling just right.

Got this in the mail last week. I finally have the original trilogy of the #PhoenixWright games on DS, restoring my original collection.

Looking forward to giving the #AceAttorney series its own shelf in my #GamesRoom one day! ✨

Finally, in a weekend with so many soulslikes, #Onimusha felt like a breath of fresh air. Not because it is a completely different genre – it's obviously not – but because the trailer puts emphasis on Onimusha's own identity. I want to catch up on the series now!

#Pragmata looked good. This could be "my" Capcom game. The RE engine is just really something else. I liked the combat. I'm definitely interested to see where this game is going!

#NoGhostsAtTheGrand is my favourite trailer in a good while. I was smiling throughout.

Not a musical, "[...] more like a cool, dusty album of British ska and punk songs from the 1980s that you find in your dad's record collection."

Game is fun. Beating the single player mode took me 7h 45m, felt like just the right length. The team mechanic is quite cool, and was unique enough for me to stay interested throughout my time. I'm now looking forward to #CrossWorlds quite a bit!

Happy #NintendoSwitch2 launch day! Excited to see what this console will do.

I will not be able to play Mario Kart World myself, so I have played and finished another kart racer in the last couple of weeks – #TeamSonicRacing!

My love for the 3DS is well documented (I think?), and Mario Kart 7 is a perfect fit for the system.

Next to Neo Bowser City, which I already knew from MK8, Wario Shipyard was probably my favourite new track. Earned all the trophies with Yoshi – there is no other way!
May 3, 2025 at 7:06 PM
With the excitement for #MarioKartWorld everywhere, I had the motivation to complete #MarioKart7 on the 3DS.

I only started the game back in 2023! My (arbitrary) criterion for completion was to get the gold trophy on all 150cc cups, with at least one star ⭐️.

... a world to get lost in, without getting consumed by it. I'll likely never be a true #DragonAge stan, but Thedas has already given me more than I ever expected. I'm grateful for that.
