P6 spent Tuesday morning in the Lab rewriting and typing out their favourite discursive text from the past 4 weeks, completing spelling tasks and completing Sumdog time challenges. 💻

This week p6 took a walk along to Graeme High School to prepare for our full day visit on Friday 23rd May. We now know which door to enter in the morning and are getting excited to see what will happen on the day.

The class have been developing their map reading skills using google maps. Children had to match the number on the worksheet to a country on google maps. Great teamwork skills and problem solving skills.

For Tuesday’s outdoor learning, P6 investigated the link between distance, time and speed. They timed how fast they could run 10m then did a division sum to find the speed in metres per second. A tricky concept but one we will come back to. 🏎️💨
