Mostly thoughtful retired artist, normally kind, but shadow side is a pissed-off drag queen named Carrie who might not be able to contain her rage in the face of cruelty, abuse or maniacal leadership. And yes, Magazines. Piles and piles of magazines..

Did you know?

There’s a directory of Black farmers: “The Black Farmers Index.”

Buy and uplift local. Many are small-scale specialists and located in urban areas. I found an organic resource in my area that I will definitely check out.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Thank you, Karen. In our shaken ecology of practices, these are some things to remember:
It's a chaotic time. Have you eaten something today? Taken your meds? Gone for a walk outside? Called a friend recently or made plans to see one in person?

It's tempting to rot in bed or doomscroll all day. I get it. You still deserve moments of joy and enough time to rest.

Velveeta is a product of a company that supports white male supremacy and facism. I will no longer be supporting Kraft Heinz and would like to propose a total boycott of all its brands.
I can defend Velveeta because like American cheese it has superior melting qualities and will not split into an oily mess when you heat it. You want gooey, Velveeta will do the trick.
And the fridge always had velveeta. Ugh

As part of the revolution that's coming, we must bring some of these companies down to prove and experience our collective power.

Not a fan of CBS news, but this:

Short List:

Dispell myths about what I am and what “the world” is.

Give up what I am attached to.

Discontinue settling for inaccurate categories of right wrong good bad.

Stand outside of their drama triangles; just get it.

+Freedom exists outside the points of view I’m currently stuck in.
people over 30 quote this with some life advice for the rest of us?
