My roommate & I got done reading the entire thing out loud today (2 more friends joined in halfway through) & we all had so much fun. I haven’t read a crazy amount of comics in my life so far (hoping to fix that) but I’m certain Housepets! will always stay a favorite. I’m grateful I found your stuff

Especially the fantasy elements & when you touched on more abstract/deep themes, it’s one of the things I associate with this comic, not just funny more-sentient animal world, & would honestly like to see the OG characters dabble in it more if/when HP continues, if you wanted to explore more w/ them

in the Heckraiser chapters, same with Keene & the Demigods, especially when Pete & Spirit Dragon reverted to their true forms that got me SUPER excited. Kinda rambling at this point but my point is I really like and honestly prefer the more story-heavy parts of the comic that expand the world more

I understand now why a lot of the other OG cast faded out near the current end,(I can understand this with King though as you likely told most of what you wanted to tell with him,though I’d love to see his reaction to most people being in the same boat as him now.) I loved that Tarot had a big role-

even more minor characters like Bino and Duchess. It’s sad to hear the fanbase wanted things to stay more simple, which I can’t fully blame them, the smaller sections of wacky hijinks were always very fun, but I also love the more story-heavy parts of the comic, that’s what brought me to it.

and linear story and I really liked the fantasy elements that his arc offered. I love the demigods and how you depict heaven in the comic and I was super hooked reading through it all the first time.

I would have loved to see more of these kinds of stories with Peanut and Grape later on honestly-

When I first got into Housepets! 4 years ago, (super late to finding it, I read A&H club first) I didn’t really read it start to finish, kinda just gravitated to a character to focus on and read through all their pages, & that character for me was King, likely because he offered an engaging-
