I believe the values and beliefs that define good character can and should be taught and encouraged in schools, the workplace and society by modeling, advocating, and holding ourselves and others to have the moral courage to do what is right even if it costs more than we want to pay.

I believe what we allow we encourage and that deToqueville was right when he said “America is great because America is good. If she stops being good she will stop being great”.

I believe in ethics, in the primacy of good character based on universal moral principles (6 Pillars of Character)-trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship (civic virtue). I deplore blind partisanship and irresponsible opinions unsupported by facts.
