Mother's day is always a bittersweet day for me. My mom was my best friend and she taught me to love everyone. I do my best to follow her example. If you still have your mother, make sure to celebrate her. Moms keep the world spinning. I swear the most pure love comes from a mom.

A friend of mine got their first gaming PC recently and I shared my Steam library (of 19 years) with them today. I focused on some recommendations for games that meant a lot to me. They are going through the Half-Life series now. I hope they see how much it means to me and gaming in general.

Today marks 34 years old for me. I'm okay with this because for some reason I've thought I've been 34 for the past year.

Today I found out that one of the first tech podcasts I listened to from 2005-2011 started back up at the end of last year. I've been binge listening all day while working.
It feels like being reunited with good friends you haven't seen in years.

I wish I could time travel with my tech knowledge to when I was child in the early 2000's. My dad worked at Chevron Phillips Chem. and they used SAP and the joke was that SAP stood for "Sit and pray" hoping things worked. I still wonder how much of that was vendor vs implementation.

The struggle today which makes me hate the Broadcom acquisition of Vmware is that all the docs.vmware.com links that show up in search engines and I've bookmarked all just point to a generic search page on Broadcom's site....

The fun thing about support is so many people act like they think I'm a mind reader. "It isn't working" turns to me cross referencing social media, logs, and pure assumptions trying to guess what the issue is. Give me details initially please, guessing and waiting for responses take forever.

As someone who doesn't care about sports, I fear I made a grave mistake going to a sports bar for wings while all the football games are on....

I just met someone for the first time that is a conspiracy theorist believer about the weather. She said "Down to earth people like me know that the government are just controlling all the weather up there in their satellites."
Uh huh....okay

Saw these at the grocery store just now and felt happy with an upset stomach looking at them. I used to eat waaayyyy too many of these as a kid.

Shout out to all my friends. Even though we don't talk often I hope you all know I think about you a lot. I'm always here if you need anything. Also I hope you all know who you are because I love you all.

I need a new programming project for fun. I need something to last for a long period time hopefully. I don't know what I want to do, but I'd love to get back into something involving ESP82** boards again or something similar.

I've loved many gaming series, but the Remedy universe has grabbed hold of me tons.

I loved Alan Wake...Then I loved Control....Alan Wake 2 was amazing. The Alan Wake 2 DLC Lake House a few days ago gave me mixed feelings. I was sad to see the end of Alan Wake 2 but Control 2 excites me so much.

I've never posted here because I've generally just kept to myself. I've been around here for a bit. As much as I've loved Twitter it is time for a change for countless reason. Good to see more people here....maybe more people will create communities here rather than dramatic clickbait worlds.
