Gold Rust-Oleum paint and prime is a money saver when painting Custodes. Homemade oil wash is a time saver.

The panel lining on this kit is gorgeous

For Custodes.. I use Rust-o-leum gold paint and prime. It's like 7 bucks a can. Then I paint the gems and red bits, gloss top coat and the hit it with an oil wash. End result is a bit GrimDark but you can always layer paint on top of it after that to bring back some of the shine.

Looks great! There are little things you can do to make it look like you spent hours and hours on them. A gloss top coat and an oil wash ( liquid skill) will make all the detail pop.
