Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said he was 'working directly with Sabic' over closure plans in Teesside. Three hours after @leighsus.bsky.social made a Freedom of Information request for the correspondence Houchen made first contact with Sabic. 🤔

Shock horror! Houchen blatantly lies to residents and then seemingly has a pointless (but no doubt very swanky) trip abroad to announce things that have already been announced!
