I grew to appreciate them a little more as I played more modded and got into the common genres (esp the camellia pack) but yeah especially some of the earlier osts are kinda meh. Modded is great though and the ranked ones are nicely curated

let's goo an apron was my first sewing project too, extremely worthwhile and I ended up making a second with some nice canvas + a knife roll to match

don't support artists who whitewash photography as something useful or cute or funny. that shit is going to destroy the livelihood of many artists. identify those who have taken the side of the machine and deny them your money and attention

The only downside I have run into is that it may or may not antagonize gout flareups. Very niche concern but worth paying attention to for anyone who's susceptible

Inter-community conflicts probably remain largely the same though. All the talk about establishing new norms from the start sounds nice but I reckon they are largely unenforceable once you run into people who don't care to participate in your community and have nothing to lose by disregarding them

Soft reset means discourse is (for a time) less saturated allowing new voices an opportunity to rise without needing to be exceptional or otherwise strictly play the social media game. DIY algorithms should shape the memeplex seeing as social media is basically an attention economy.

i dont even fully understand the purpose of it, if they want to limit filesize that's easy to do. if they want to limit how tall posts are it's never been difficult to crop them in html and have them pop out full size in a lightbox (which was how i initially figured it worked when cropping!)
