“Read a book you illiterate son of a bitch and step up your vocab." - Bun B
A truly phenomenal experience read by @levarburton.bsky.social. If you haven’t listened to an audiobook, let Cosmos be your first. The passion in which it was read and curiosity in which it was written will forever be etched into my mind. Thank you, Carl Sagan.

What I liked most about this book is the humanization of folks that get labeled quickly. More people need to be exposed to the stories shared in this book. How people look out for one another. Unspoken agreements. Community. The interconnectedness of the projects. Fascinating.

That last line… “it may be time to rethink our presumptions how much voters care about representation.” The complacency. The privilege. It’s beyond comprehension for me. Infuriating. Care more, people.

This will always baffle me.

HS college counselor here, I just received this email. Historically, children born here are US citizens and are eligible for federal money. Now, if you complete the FAFSA, and one or both of your parents are undocumented, you might be putting your family at risk. Even if they’ve paid taxes. Scary.

Forgot how great Malcolm Gladwell is at storytelling. The audiobook is so worth your time bc he mixes in interview clips. Compelling stories. I just love listening to his passion and curiosity. Makes me feel hopeful. #BooksOfBluesky
