From our project leadership, to the systems team, project scientists, safety and quality assurance team, and the skilled engineers and technicians actually doing the touch-labor on the floor, this is hands down the best, highest-performing team operating at NASA right now.

And so this week we got this: Observatory Integration. The final two major assemblies of Roman coming together to form NASA's next flagship space telescope. 40+ people working in close coordination to make a complex operation look easy, while the rest of us got to watch and literally cheer them on.

If you think potentially finding life on another planet would be a transformative event for humanity (not to mention all of the other discoveries HWO would make) call your Congresspeople and tell them you want HWO to happen!

This test simulates the vibrations the system will feel during the short trip to orbit. We just completed the metrology verifying that nothing moved out of alignment during the test, indicating we have a robust system!
