It’s worth also remembering that a significant proportion of the students on both tiers will be faced with questions they are unable to do and need to learn not to be knocked by that - that is the very nature of any exam paper that distinguishes students based on the difficulty of questions.

Report, ‘Behaviour Barometer’, from @schoolsurveys.bsky.social, using @teachertapp.bsky.social data.
A must read if you are a school leader. Some interesting insights that might just challenge your perceptions and stimulate some productive cognitive dissonance.

Saturday I was at the CredimusAI Launch. It was a great event, full of people doing genuinely innovative things with AI to reduce workload or improve T&L.
Tickets for next year are already available, and I would 100% recommend:

Fascinating listening to @johntomsett.bsky.social talking about aristotal.ai - an AI teacher coaching tool. Looks really powerful.

All things AI this morning at CredimusAI Launch Event. Loads of great sessions, hosted by Ben Barker and Greater Schools.

Perhaps naively, this graph in @schoolsweek.bsky.social today really shocked me. Lots of possible drivers, aware that factors such as proportions of special schools etc. will skew the data, and that rates of SEND are higher in the private sector. But still find it hard to reconcile the difference.

I flagged this book a few months ago, but if you’re doing some thinking about your school improvement priorities over the summer I can’t recommend this highly enough. One of the best books I’ve read this year.

It provides a framework for systematically de-implementing.
