Hot take: nobody ever got rich because of hard work. Hundreds of millions of people work hard (WAY harder than any billionaire), and remain poor/middle class. Wealth comes from luck. Exclusively. Every time.

Santa is a weird character. Wants zero actual connection or interaction with humanity, choosing instead to sit in judgment over everyone, doling out reward and punishment as he sees fit.
No accountability to us. No oversight. His decisions are all final and we must accept them.

The sad fact is that a single CEO being shot won’t change the way corporations are run. Zero corporations are looking at that and thinking “how do we appease the disgruntled masses?” They’re all just beefing up security.

I think “the more, the merrier” should not be thought of as a general idea, but really specific to particular moments. It’s great to love crowds, but also check in with your friends before you start adding to your group for the evening.

Cold weather sucks. Extremely hot weather also sucks. But cool-ish weather, where you want to wear short sleeves, but also there’s a little chill in the air, and it will get colder when the sun goes down, but you don’t want to keep a jacket/sweater with you all day… that kind of sucks too.

The key to sanity in these troubled times is to strongly downgrade your opinion of humans. I mean that in a positive way. Everyone is genuinely doing their best, it’s just that we’re an idiot species, so our best is just generally kind of terrible. That’s all. 🤷🏻♂️

Been waiting for the Georgia indictments. I make no bones about hating the Donald and everything he stands for, and I’m now one step more confident that he’ll actually face justice for attempting to subvert our democracy. Lock him up!
