Sorry, after which failed promise did folks continue to believe that maybe he might actually be sincere? When MSM were keeping active counts of the number of lies , fabrications and falsehoods Trump had made in office during his first term? Who seriously believed he meant them when he got in again?

Funny, that's not how it's looking from the bleachers. I know, post a pithy meme, expressing your discontent over executive orders directed at the regime and its leader. That will get the point across for sure.

Darn those darn fascist Republicans acting like fascists. Well, they just better wait for the 2026 midterms ,I tell you.

Ah,more of that Democrat ,"just wait until the 2026 midterms" placebo. Thanks for sharing.

And just how are the Democrats, who since Inauguration Day have continually reminded their constituents that they have no ability to affect action in the Republican controlled legislature, planning on doing that?

You say that like there's any doubt.

"This is what autocrats do"

What baffles us all is that this is what you folks have been saying to each other since,oh,I don't know, Inauguration Day. Which begs the obvious question, how much more evidence is required before you actually take an actual legitimate stand against these autocrats?

Careful, you may face the wrath of the Screaming Bluesky Meanies for suggesting that.

Now, if Congress were to be suspended and disbanded, would this even matter?

In 2024, 3 out of 5 US vets voted for Trump. There is absolutely no reason to expect these numbers would differ in active service personnel. I think way too many Dems have way too many false expectations with regards to whom your military is loyal.

And...you are just coming to this conclusion, now?
September 29, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Yes, the rest of the world can all see how effectively you've been dealing with the rabies outbreak so far.

Registered voters vs eligible voters, ~36% of eligible US voters did not vote in 2024( University of Florida)
September 29, 2025 at 12:28 AM
1/5, you mean 1/3 don't you?
September 29, 2025 at 12:25 AM
3 out of 5 US vets voted for Trump in 2024. There is no reason to expect these numbers would be any different among active duty military service. Any purge might be pretty tiny.

Trump and the Republicans. There is no reason to expect that this correlation doesn't carry over into active duty Armed Forces. 60%, that's three out of every 5 people supporting Trump. I wonder how much of a loyalty test is even going to be necessary.

Depends who you're talking about worrying. Pew Research Institute did a survey after the US presidential elections last fall looking for correlations between military service and right leaning support. Slightly more than 60% of the US armed forces veterans surveyed supported and voted for >
