Just a chronically online person trying out all the websites that exist, pretty much full time.
It could be that it's been changed so that it is that simple, but some of these systems will let you say you didn't want to -see- them, but they wouldn't actually go away. I don't even know how to make sure that CoPilot is really gone, it's so integrated now.

I suppose "they did eventually refund the money they stole from me after a bait and switch scam when I reported them to the Better Business Bureau" is kind of positive?

Seriously though, they're the worst of them and that's saying something.

It also makes you better at spotting bad journalism because you can see the shortcuts taken by places that don't value skilled writers.

Research just to research is one of my favorite hobbies.

"I want to be able to have a record of business conversations"

Exactly! I also have hearing issues and the number of times I've told people that things need to be written and to a specific place and they've fully ignored me... Even my RIF notice went to the wrong email.

Also, don't read bad books or watch TV shows/movies you don't like just because they're "important" or "highly praised." You like what you like, it's fine. Don't waste time on things you aren't enjoying.

But that's advice for all ages. Even if it's a "classic" if _you_ don't like it, put it down.

It's okay to quit things, even as you get older. The job you thought was going to be your dream job, the career you've been studying for since you were 19, the group of friends you made years ago that aren't meshing anymore. You can grieve the ends of things, but they really can and should end.

When you're a kid, the world doesn't make sense, you think it's because you don't get it yet. When you're an adult you have to come to grips with the fact that the world doesn't make sense because it just doesn't. It's hard not to feel some kind of way about it. People reach that at different ages.

I've always felt like the problem is that adulthood is so full of so much stupid that we're constantly feeling like we must be doing it wrong. The system is designed to make us feel like we're the ones messing up to deflect away from issues. Then society also is full of weird "just because" things.

There are a lot of great skeletons out there for building a story around, Campbell is one of them.

But if you think there's a real monomyth or that universal symbolism is real, you need to stop talking and go find some other cultures to experience.

I hear so many big budget, big network podcasts and news shows get names of people and places incredibly wrong that I made it a mission to get as close as I could. How can I be honoring someone if I am not using their actual name?

One is their name, and the other is not.
