Bravery begets bravery. And we need our leaders to be brave. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from working in early childhood is that when we reward good behavior, it is often repeated. This applies to adults, too. We need this bravery from all. When one stands up, it’s a signal to the rest.

As a person with AUDHD, I need lots of advanced PLANNING time. 1. I have the location and time. 2. I know who I am going with. 3. I have a plan to make signs, gathering supplies and researching how to make signs—slogan ideas. 4. Today, I will research my rights for peaceful protest.

How often I have been privileged to be neutral weighs heavy.
However, here i am now. Asking where is your line?
Our country’s tolerance for hell is expanding rapidly. Not being vigilant just means buying time. The choice to obey or resist will soon come straight to your door and knock loudly.

This should be the only conversation. We focused on Biden’s debate performance for weeks. Where did the New York Times and the rest go after this bomb dropped during the inaugural speech?

I effing HATE we are here again. I was training in Ohio the first time around. On the last day, I had a woman in my room who had not heard from her husband since the night before and had not heard from him by the time I left. I don’t know what happened but I imagine it was ice.

I love poems that define happiness as, what it takes too many years to realize, something brief—that comes and goes. The better we get at realizing that, the better we get at having more.

Proud to have a poem in this great issue of Whale Road. My favorite piece (so far) is by Angela Townsend.

Not sure who took this photo but it says it all. We missed out. Both times and forever.
