No. Very true. As someone who has spent 20 years in direct response email advertising, they are very much in violation. You cant just claim “fake news” and make the problem go away. They are breaking the law.

@liberalca.bsky.social is violating Canadian Spam Law in their campaigning by signing you up to email and text notifications lists without your permission. They are not providing clear instructions to cancel text messages. This is highly unethical!
