The Godfather was this growing up for me. Didn’t see it until fairly late in life, but even with the internet not being what it is today, I was well aware of meme lines from the movie for years before.

This was such a great surprise going in cold. Going again tomorrow to catch it in IMAX while I can.

I think it's a perfectly fine thing to do. Can't really blame anyone for getting a good deal on a used car. That said, can't blame anyone else for questioning their views when seeing them drive one either.

Most likely people outside of the internet won't care either way.

Quite a few of the programmers I met when starting my career, had been influenced by their moms, who had worked in the field in 70’s and 80’s Soviet Union. Yet it took me half a decade until I worked with my first female coding colleague.
