8 decades ago, my father and uncles risked their lives to defeat fascist aggression. Now - We must take risks now to stop the fascist aggressor who will soon occupy the White House.

More and more Musk resembles the arch-villain in an Ian Fleming novel. Where is our James Bond when we really need one?

Attempts by Trump & his sycophants to rewrite the history of January 6, 2021 parallel the “lost cause” narrative Southerners & their sympathizers told to cover up the sin of slavery & the denial of the crimes against humanity committed by the Nazis & Fascist regimes by their 21st C counterparts.

RIP Jimmy Carter. Although he was not a progressive or successful president, his post-White House years demonstrated a commitment to human rights, peace, democracy and human dignity seriously lacking in the incoming presidential administration.

Bret Stephen’s column @nytimes.com shows how much he has already capitulated to Trumpism and joined the growing line of ring kissers that Michele Goldberg describes in her op-ed. His repetition of false equivalencies between Trump & his opponents reads like a script from Trump’s press conferences.

There is more solidarity in the US among billionaires than among the working class. The Trump administration will wage class warfare against the 99% while claiming that any criticism of his pro-rich policies is a form of class warfare.

We should remove any “equal justice for all” signs from all government buildings.

Jack Smith’s motion to dismiss Jan 6 charges against Trump is the final nail in the coffin of the American legal system. Its tombstone will read “Here lies equal justice under the law.” It never really existed for many Americans, but now even the illusion of it has disappeared.
