Bad timing for my daughter. Phi Beta Kappa and recipient of two NASA grants for her Master’s. She applied to multiple universities for her PhD and was accepted to only one in the US that had made the offer very early, in January before all the defunding started.

Not just Germany. In Australia (and I’d guess a lot of other places) you see topless women at beaches all the time. No one cares.
